Portugal Waterfall at Rabacal
In this spot, you can see the waterfall which provides the water for the Risco waterfall which is further down the stream. Note that you can't directly go down from this spot to the place where you see the risco waterfall. The difference in elevation forces one to go back to Rabacal where you can head down to the risco waterfalls.
Photography Tips
Getting anything but straight-on lighting of the waterfall will be difficult as any side illumination would need to come through the narrow valley.
Travel Information
You can hike down from the main parking space. The hike is very manageable but it will take at least an hour to get there. The trails along the levadas are well established until the last 250m where it winds down a steep slope.
