Portugal Lagoa do Capitão

The Lagoa do Capitão is one of the best photo spots on Pico. There are plenty of opportunities to photograph the Pico here. It's worth coming here several times, as the weather is different every day. Often the Pico is shrouded in clouds, sometimes there is fog over the lagoon, then it is calm again and the mountain is reflected in the lagoon.

Sunrise is the best time.

The spot is easy to reach. It is about a 20-minute drive from Madalena. You can park right in front of the lagoon, but make sure that your vehicle is not in the picture.
