You are in the middle of a dense and dark forrest, so either a camera capable of high ISO or a tripod is mandatory.

Travel Information

It's some hours of hiking to get there. Oriantation is difficult. You start at the fanal forrest and go down the "Vereda da Ribeira Funda" until 620 msl. There is a little old wall in the forrest and you leave left on a small trail. The trail is shown in the Openstreetmap and classified T5. Follow the trail for half an hour until you reach a prominent gorge where you can see the ferns.
