Dieser Garten wurde im 18. Jahrhundert von James Gordon gebaut, der auch den Garten angelegt hat. 1899 wurde das Anwesen vom Banker Rocha Machado gekauft, der 1921 dem Kaiser Charles I von Österreich und seiner Familie vorübergehend Residenz bot. Heute gehört dieses Anwesen der Regierung. Von diesem Garten hat man auch einen herrlichen Blick auf Funchal.
