This specific spot belongs to the Ponta da Piedade south of Lagos. It is a true paradise for every landscape photographer, with dozens of phantastic spots. You could spend a week only in this small area! The spot itself looks down onto the Praia do Barranco do Martinho, two small beaches between the cliffs. A perfect view for sunset!

Photography Tips

The photo is a 180° panoramic, so you definitely need a wide angle lens and since it goes down steep, you should consider portrait format. Panoramics are difficult due to the moving ocean. Try to fit all the waves in one single photo. Tripod and filters are obligatory. If someone occupies this very spot, walk to the next beautiful point only 10 meters away! And watch your steps, it is really steep sometimes.
