Praia de Santa Cruz has a very extensive beach, taking different names according to the dealer, being well known the Beaches of the Ship, Mirante, Pisão, Physics, Center, Santa Helena, Formosa and Praia Azul. The purity of the waters and sands and the characteristic beauty of the picturesque cliffs make Santa Cruz a very popular seaside resort. At the south end, the cliffs of Ponta da Vigia start a group of cliffs, of which stands the Penedo do Guincho, 30 meters high and 100 meters in circumference. At the base opens into a vaulted space crossed by the sea. Overlooking these cliffs, there are curious terraces, from where in days of clear atmosphere you can admire a vast panorama that covers the lighthouse of Cape Carvoeiro and the Islands of Berlengas.
