This is a nice plateau place, where you can spend half day just doing nothing. The lake is nice and one can take a round tour around the lake and spot another locations to shoot. The girl was one of the tourists trying to get her feet wet and this is how I took the photo.

Photography Tips

I was there in the summer. There is a few rocks at the lake surface, I used them to create perspective. From this spot, on the left there is a nice ridge which I couldn't entirely capture it even with a 11mm lens, maybe a panorama shot is more recommended.

Travel Information

From Cluj airport there is a 150 km driving until reaching Borsa town. Drive more 10km and you'll reach the sky resort village on the right. Here you can take the cable and reach the top of the mountain. From here there is a marked trail (medium to easy) to the lake Stiol, about 1.5 hours to hike. The lake is hard to miss.
