Romania Craiului Cave
"Craiului cave can be considered one of the most representative cavities belonging to the Pădurea Craiului Mountains. Although, through the present development of 3,5 km, it is not one of the greatest caves of the mountain, it secedes due to its very extensive caverns, that include a corridor of 300 m long and 40 m high, volumetrically the greatest corridor from the Pădurea Craiului Mountains. The abundance of calcium carbonate, aragonite and gypsum speleothemes, as well as the beauty of the anisian black chalk with white lines, from the subterranean flume area, makes it a real jewel of the karsts from Romania. The cave has been appointed a natural protected area and it is under the administration of the town hall of Roşia.
