Romania Barajul Scropoasa

Part of the Scropoasa Lake in Bucegi mountains. This is one of the oldest dams in Romania.

Wide lens is a must for this spot.

To travel there you have two choices, by car to Hidrocentrala Scropoasa, careful about the road! You need a car with high ground clearance, the road is not good for any car. But from there you have to walk 10 minutes,
The other way to get to the dam is by car to Camping Zanoaga, and take the trail named Cheile Zănoagei. Length of the trail is about 2 km, not very difficult but it will take almost 1 hour, depending on your stops. At the end of the trail you can buy food and water. Also it`s important to calculate time and energy for returning, before sundown.
From the Parking/Restaurant spot, you need to take the path on the right side of the lake until you arrive at a bridge, But the best spot to take photos is hidden, before going on the bridge, exactly where the bridge is starting, it`s small hidden path between the trees, you need to climb a boulder (not difficult task, but it`s worth it). After that you walk for 10m and you will see the exact spot I pinned on map, and where I took the photo from.
In the area you also can find Șapte Izvoare waterfall, I will post also that spot.
