The Kingdom Centre, also known as Almamlaka Tower, is a landmark of modern Riyadh, completed in 2002. Standing at 302.3 meters with 99 stories, the tower’s distinctive almond-shaped design and curvature help maintain its temperature in the region’s heat. It houses commercial offices, luxury residences, and the Four Seasons Hotel, with a glass skybridge observatory at its top.

At the tower’s base, two symmetrical wings embrace the city, featuring landscaped public gardens. The west wing includes a large event venue with royal suites and specialty restaurants, while the east wing is home to the award-winning Al-Mamlaka mall, offering luxury stores like Louis Vuitton and Gucci. The building’s high-performance silver curtain wall, designed to reflect sunlight, wraps around the structure, while unoccupied floors around the inverted arch opening are clad in matching metal panels.

The Kingdom Centre is a vibrant, luxurious destination, overlooking Riyadh’s main streets, and is known for its iconic, sophisticated architecture.

Photography Tips

In 2019, I shot these pictures using an 18-55mm kit lens. However, to capture even more expansive scenes, all you need is an ultra-wide lens, such as a 10-18mm, along with a zoom lens, like an 18-135mm. Also, a combination of a 28-300mm lens and a 14-24mm lens would work great. Whether you’re using a wide lens or a zoom, these tools are perfect for capturing stunning shots.

Travel Information

Walking area - free access outside. With parking spot because of the hotel. Coffee and malls are available. You can shoot from both sides depending on whether the sun is down or rising. Tripod allowed. Ask ppl kindly and avoid cars.
