Saudi Arabia KFNL king Fahad national library
One of the most important cultural buildings in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it entered into use for its intended purpose in 2015. This project witnesses Professor Eckhard Gerber and his Gerber Architecture team completing one of the most important urban and cultural development projects in the capital, Riyadh.
The design combines the challenge of designing within the existing building stock with respect for Arab culture.
KFNL was established in 1983 in response to an initiative made by the people of Riyadh when King Fahd ascended the throne. The project was announced in 1983 and the implementation started in 1986
