Slovakia (Slovak Republic) Icefall, Siklava skala
The water falling down from the rock called 'Šikľavá skala' freezes in winter and creates a spectacular icefall, which is about 14 m tall and 25 m wide.
Photography Tips
A wide-angle lens and a tripod may be useful. Crampons or at least hiking poles are recommended as you'll be walking on ice.
Travel Information
The spot is 2 km away from Matejovce nad Hornádom and 3 km away from Chrasť nad Hornádom. You can park the car in one of the villages and follow the red biking trail on foot. Alternately, you can take a slow train to either village.
