Slovakia (Slovak Republic) Kamenica Castle
Nice castle ruins on the top of the hill. Nice 360-degree view. Kamenica Castle was built in the 14th century by Hungarian kings as a defense against Ottoman invasions; the castle was a hilltop fortress with walls, towers, and a gatehouse. It began to decline in the 17th century due to military conflicts and was abandoned by the 18th century. Today, it is in ruins but remains a popular spot for hiking and offers scenic views of the surrounding area.
