Slovenia Heart in the vineyards, Slovenia

This is one of the best spots in the whole country of Slovenia. It is called "Srce med vinogradi" or "Heart in the vineyards". The name comes from the shape of the road as viewed from the observation deck located at the top of the vineyard.

I strongly recommend visiting this spot at night, then doing a long exposure while someone is driving down the road (or up it). This was a two-person effort, one of us taking the pictures, one of us driving the car. If you wait for random cars to come by you could be there all night.
If you want the heart to be red, the driver should drive downhill. If you want the heart to be white, uphill.

The settings depend on the light level. It should not be too dark.

You can check your exposure by seeing if you can make out details in the trees behind the vineyard. If they are black, you underexposed the photo and need to try again.

A sturdy tripod is a must! A remote release is strongly suggested.

Use the coordinates and it will take you right to the overlook. You will pay €5.00, but it allows you on to the overlook and you will get a bottle of wine for the fee.
Also, you can go there by bus.

You can access the viewing platform at any time, but the opening hours for non-hotel guests are from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
