Spain Salinas Marinas de Fuencaliente

One of the most visited parts of all La Palma, here the earth, air, and water join forces to form the salt fields of Fuencaliente, a hugely valuable human landscape where the contrasts of the white of the salt, the blue of the sea and the black of the volcanic earth paint a picture of immense beauty.

The area where the salt fields are located is private property, but open for everyone to visit. Please respect restricted areas and do not step on the salt, because it is meant for consumption.

Tripod would be an asset.

Drive or take a bus. Windy roads amidst banana plantations, sometimes beautiful views of the ocean. Parking is not an issue. There is a large parking lot next to the lighthouses which is free of charge.
