Spain Temple of Debod, Madrid
An egyptian temple in Spain's capital? Located not far outside the center you find that little temple Egypt gifted to Spain for helping in transporting the Abu Simbel Temple to a higher location when the Assuan Nile Dam was erected. It's a nice place best visited around sunset, as it looks westward is is lit then. I've seen pictures with no water around it, but of course the reflection doubles the impression.
Photography Tips
Best in the evening, when the temple parts are being lit in different colors. Many people go there at this time, but most stay in a way you won't have them on your photo. Sun sets directly behind the temple in an undisturbed view. Not interesting during daytime.
Travel Information
Just a few hundred meters away from the Royal Palace and the Plaza de Espana many local buses lead there.
