Spain Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias, Valencia
This new area in Valencia, constructed progressively from 1996 to 2005, offers a lot of different spots for interesting architectural photography - very cool shapes and forms. It is the most important modern tourist destination in Valencia with a series of buildings designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava. The buildings are in the former riverbed of the river Turia and are mostly set in reflective ponds.
Photography Tips
This complex of buildings offers so many opportunities for great photos it's hard to make a specific recommendation. Just walk a lot at all times of the day and night (carry a tripod at night). To do this location justice you need to set aside at leat four days.
