Spain Es Pontás, Cala Santanyí
Es Pontàs is a rock gate in the sea of the southeastern part of the Balearic island of Mallorca. The naturally formed "bridge" is around 70 meters wide and is located directly on the coastline between Cala Santanyí and Cala Llombards in the municipality of Santanyí.
Photography Tips
Caution with the cliff. Carry a tripod for long-exposure photography. Suitable lenses may be 15 mm. 18 mm. or 24 mm. For panoramic shots a 35 mm. may be suitable. Use a wide lens to avoid having the gates in the image. A polarizing filter might help to avoid reflection of the water and get more depth into the image.
