Spain Mirador La Tarta (Tf 24 Road)

That is an interesting spot. The reason, you can use the arch (even simulate a cave) framing El Teide, which is the mountain, actually vulcano, most higher in Spain.

Due to the altitude, you will be most part of the year above the clouds.

You can take a rest, enjoy the views and then continue with your visit. Maybe you want to shoot milky way. From that spot, facing a little bit to the left, you can do it.

To get there, you will need follow the road (TF24) from "Mirador La Tarta del Teide" about 1.5 Km. You will find to your left a spot to park your car, and crossing the road, a path. You have to take that paht and walk 800-900 m. Just trying to get the "Mirador La Tarta del Teide".

There is no complications, just follow the path.


Things you would need:

-Water. Always at high altitude bring water. Despite it is not the Hymalaya, the atmosphere here is pretty dry.
-Sunglasses. UV radiation use to be high.
-Food for taking a rest when you reach the spot. Please, be polite with the nature.
-If you are travelling at summer, or just during the day, you'll not need extra layers, but If you are here in winter, please, bring with you clothes. Sometimes is very cold
-Appropriate footwear. Despite it is an ease path to walk, please protect your feet and walk safe.

- Finally, take it easy, you could find you lose your breath if you are not fit.
