Spain Spanish Pyrenees, Ibon de Plan
This lake is on of the most beautiful you can find in the Pyrenees. On the northern bank you will find some old trees lying in the water which make amazing foregrounds for your pictures. The place is difficult to reach but it is worth the effort. Be prepared to see many people here, except at sunrise or sunset when the reflection of the mountain in the lake is at it's best.
Photography Tips
Stay overnight to enjoy both sunrise and sunset. Come in late May or early June to maximize yous chance to find the dead trees in the water. If you come too late in the summer and the season has been dry, there will be less water in the lake and the trees will lye on the sand. Do not forget warm clothes as the altitude is a bit high (1913m). Bring your tripod and travel light.
