Spain Chorrón de Viguera
El Chorrón is the tallest waterfall in La Rioja. It's about 60 meters high, but it doesn't always have water flowing throughout the year. The water usually shows up after heavy rains or during snowmelt season.
Photography Tips
We need to consider the geographic location of Chorrón, as the spot is situated in a small area beneath a cliff, causing limited light. To capture the entire scene, we need to use an ultra-wide-angle lens or take a panoramic shot. Lastly, it's quite easy to overexpose the sky due to the spot being in shadow.
Travel Information
To reach it, we must go to the town of Viguera and follow the signs within the town. You can park your car in a nearby Gypsum quarry and walk the rest of the way. However, you can also park almost at the start of the trail that leads to Chorrón. The trail is short and steep at the beginning, but it shouldn't pose too much of a challenge.
