Spain Pertusa Hermitage
Travel Information
A Romanesque church located on top of a cliff with privileged views of the Canelles Reservoir and the famous Congost de Montrebei.
It is built into the rock next to one of the walls of what was once the castle, a small fortress.
One of its sides is completely flush with the cliff and the other is just over a meter wide.
HOW TO GET THERE
From Barcelona, take the A2 until exit 504 and then take the C-53 to Corça, passing laterally through Balaguer.
Once you get to Corça, you have to go up to the parking lot by a narrower road, but suitable for vehicles.
The free parking is limited to 50 cars, so depending on the time of the year, we recommend you arrive early.
When we visited this place in February it was almost empty and we had no problems.
ROUTE TO THE HERMITAGE OF LA PERTUSA
Once we parked in the parking lot, you have to take the road above to reach a small esplanade where there are some signs that is where the short trail begins.
From this place you can already see the Hermitage in the distance and its wonderful views.
