Spain Mirador Penya Rotja, Mallorca
This is one of the most amazing photo spots I have found on Mallorca. You can only reach it by hiking for about an hour, but be warned: The hiking trip is difficult and not for the faint-hearted! There are several spots where you balance on the brink, looking down hundreds of meters right aside you! Once you reached the mirador (viewpoint) and even before at the countless smaller viewpoints, you know that it was worth the effort!
Photography Tips
Pack lightly, you need to have your hands free! At one point you need to go through a very narrow gateway, so don't use your biggest backpack. Travel tripod, filters, etc are a good idea.
Really needed: Good shoes, water, immunity to high heights!

Travel Information
Parking is available at the Ermita de la Victoria. From there, it is a hiking trip for 1-2 hours. Look up "Penya Rotja" for hiking instructions. I used the one in the german "Michael Müller Verlag - Mallorca" guidebook. The hiking trail is not signposted!
