The "Old Bridge" of Córdoba over the Guadalquivir River, also called "Roman Bridge" is one of the historical symbols of the city.

Photography Tips

Since this is a very nice and big location, you can do a lot of pictures of different types here. In my case, I needed a tripod and a 24-70 mm to get the long exposure within the blue hour, but you can get great stuff here at any time of the day (and night).

Travel Information

Train
The tourist influx of Córdoba and its strategic geographical location means that it is well connected with large neighbouring cities. With the high-speed trains (AVE) it is possible to arrive from Madrid in one hour and forty minutes, from Seville in forty minutes or from Valencia in three hours.

To check schedules and prices to get to Córdoba by train from other cities, visit the Renfe page. In it, you can book online.

Renfe
Although the fares are not very cheap, the trains are comfortable and fast. There is also the possibility of reaching Córdoba on conventional medium-distance trains, although the duration and comfort are not comparable.

Car
Córdoba is located at a distance of 390 kilometres by road from Madrid. Using the A-4 motorway, the car journey between the two cities takes approximately four hours. From other provinces the journey by road is much shorter, using the A-45 to get there from Malaga, the N-432 from Granada or the same A-4 from Seville.

If you go to Córdoba by car, you should bear in mind that it is practically impossible to park in the historic centre of Córdoba, which is full of blue zones and has little space for cars. You will have no problem parking on the other side of the Guadalquivir or at the El Arenal fairgrounds.

Bus
The cheapest way to get to Córdoba is by bus, although depending on your city of origin it can be a heavy journey. The bus trip from Madrid to Córdoba takes about four and a half hours.

You can check the lines, schedules and fares from the official website of the companies that operate this service:

Alsa
Socius

Airport
Córdoba airport is located about 15 kilometres from the city centre. Currently, it only hosts private plane flights of up to eighty passengers, so it is not a good option for foreign tourists.

The best alternative is to fly to Madrid, Malaga or Seville and arrive in Córdoba by train or by road.
