Svalbard & Jan Mayen Islands Ice carving of Spitzberg Glacier
This is one of the nicest and large glaciers in the northwest part of Svalbard with an impressive ice wall.
It was rare to witness ice carving but it is unfortunately become sure that staying around for an hour or two you will witness some ice falling as the glacier recession has accelerated these last years.

Photography Tips
Telephoto definitely as you don't want to be caught by the wave and fall into ice water.
Make sure to move away fast when on the zodiac as the wave strength can be high on short distances.
