One of my favorite spots for a good view "close" to Boden. Prominent views of the Degerselet lake with its many islands. Sparse trees in the foreground provide opportunity for different compositions. This is a spot I will return to in the summer!

Travel Information

There is a small parking place just 2 km northwest of Niemisel. The trailhead is right there: Follow the trail all the way to the top (ca. 1.5 km). To reach the view towards north-west, you need to descend a bit towards the west, until you hit a rock sticking out of the hill ca. 50 meters from the windshelter. Come with proper hiking gear (shoes) and be careful on the trail and the rocks. Note for coming here in the winter: the parking spot is not cleaned from snow in the winter! you have to find another parking. In Niemisel town there is always space, but adds 2km walk on the road, not too bad.
