Switzerland Aarburg Castle
A beautiful medieval castle and church built on a steep rocky hillside in Aarburg, Switzerland. A modern, lighted bridge nearby adds a nice contrast of old and new.
The „Woog“as locals call it is a natural phenomenon in the harbor of Aarburg. A river bend and the castle rock cause the water to create a whirlpool and flow back up the river for a couple of hundred meters on the right side of the Aare. The whirlpool makes a nice foreground for a church and medieval castle.

Photography Tips
Go down to the water of the Aare river. I took this shot at dusk on a Canon EOS R at 24mm f11 for 15 seconds.
