Switzerland Château de Chillon
The pictures show the Castle of Chillon, built in the 11th century. It is in a very good fashion and can be visited inside. The rooms are in a good fashion as well. They show typical architecture, paintings and furniture from the middle age.
Photography Tips
My pictures were taken from the opposite direction than the others I saw on this page. When you walk from Montreux it will take about 15 minutes to get to this spot, to the castle itself it will be another 15 minutes.
Travel Information
As I wrote above it is easy to walk to the spot from Montreux. There is a railway station as well beneath the castle and I am sure buses are running from Montreux or other villages around. You can of course travel there by car, parking is possible. The nicest way to visit the castle might be by ship. There are ship tours provided on Lake Geneva from many towns and villages around the lake and the ships stop right at the castle - a nice possibility to take pictures as well.
