Switzerland Sasso Rosso - Vedretta di Fellaria Orientale

It's amazing to be close to this glacier, it makes you feel so small. Unfortunately is quickly dying. If you have the chance to stay a bit longer you can see entire blocks of ice falling over the lower vedretta.

Be aware the weather can change very quickly in mountains, be prepared! Remember: is not a good idea to carry a carbon fiber tripod during a thunderstorm, especially at this altitude with no trees. Always with you in the backpack: water bottle, raincoat, headlamp, knife, dried fruits and nuts etc.

From Sondrio you must follow the directions to Val Malenco, Chiesa in Val Malenco and Lanzada. From Lanzada carry on the main road, you will pass Campo Fanscia, Campo Moro and you'll find a huge parking - camp area just below a massive dam.
From this point you have to walk. Follow the directions to Val Gembrè, Confinale, Bivacco Anghileri. It takes about 4h by walk to go there.
