The old Hotel Belvedere is an interesting subject surrounded by imposing mountains.
Nearby is also the ice grotto of the Rhone Glacier.

Photography Tips

On weekends or on nice days, it is definitely worth it to be there early in the morning or in the evening. During the day it has a lot of people and a lot of vehicles.

Thank you very much. This is a composition of three images, one for the foreground, one for the milkyway a little bit later and one shot with the light trails.

In this place, drone images are very undesirable. It even has a prohibition sign. (I don't really know why either. There are so many motorcycles driving through there that the noise can't be an argument). Nevertheless, I posted a photo "from above". The photo was taken when I climbed up the steep rock face directly at the spot. However, this is really not without risk and not necessarily recommended. Actually, I only climbed up there anyway because you have to go through an entrance to take a picture of the Rhone Glacier, which is subject to a fee. However, the entrance is closed in the evening. However, since I really wanted to take a picture of the glacier, I decided to take the dangerous option. This has the advantage of being able to take a photo of the Hotel Belvedere from above. I would say that it is up to everyone to assess the risk and would expressly not recommend it here.
