Switzerland Fairy tale trees, Neuheim
You‘d expect the Seven Dwarfs to come around the corner up here anytime...
Legend has it that the farmers on Hirzel sold their souls to the devil in return for more land. The devil took the easy way out and just pushed the earth up from the inside. When the farmers realised the extra land was steep and of no great use, they felt cheated on and planted a Linden tree on top of every hill. With the Linden trees, being the „trees of love“, the devil would avoid the area in future.
It was glaciers forming the landscape up on Hirzel, the story is still kind of nice.

Photography Tips
Watch out for the countless farm dogs in the area...
The spot is located on a private lot - please stay on the prepared path so the farmers will keep allowing people to shoot.
Come early so you have enough time to find a composition that works. A tripod is always a good idea, wide angle works best.

Travel Information
From Neuheim or Menzingen. Better to walk (just over half an hour) as there aren‘t a lot of parking possibilities.
The farmers won't be your friend if you're going to park your car on their land. Please be respectful.
Keep in mind: This place has become very popular and being alone for sunset has become a rare thing.
