After a steep ascent through a rocky landscape you cross the ridge and a beautiful field of wild flowers welcomes you. At 2500m altitude late July is the best time to see this spring-like scene. This place also gives you an opportunity to relax before you start the steeper way up to the peak.

Take as much as you are prepared to carry up the mountain. Tripod is useful, so are filters

Travel Information

Either start your hike from Lenzerheide (3.5 hrs to this place) or Alp Sanaspans, where there is very basic accommodation in a cow stable but which saves you around 2 hours in the morning. Decent hiking gear, enough drink and food and alpine experience are essential. Also check the weather forecast!
