Switzerland Schauenburgerstrasse

In summer at the right daytime, this is just a beautiful view of my hometown. Granted, it's not that scenic but if you are just starting out as a photographer, I'd recommend discovering your home surroundings first. That way, if the light is special and you're eager to go out and shoot, suitable locations are just a few minutes away. I try to hone my technical and compositional skills that way and when I'm good enough, I'll go out into the world and shoot it like nobody else did before.

I used a wide angle lens which I'd recommend for a shot like that. But that's not to say you could get interesting pictures with longer lenses as well.

Car is probably best. You can park just on the path. This is a pretty remote area. You won't see many people. You might have to relocate your vehicle to make way for some farmer.
