Switzerland Kapellbrücke, Lucerne

Lucerne‘s undisputed tourist hot spot from inside. During the year you can see pictures promoting a catholic way of life in the roof. They date back to the early 17th century. Rougly half are originals. The ones in the middle of the bridge are copies to replace the pictures that were damaged during a fire in 1995. When carneval is on, they are covered with carneval scenes in order to protect them.

Be early, at least 30 minutes before sunrise. The place gets swamped later.

5 minutes from the train station. Can‘t miss it.
