Switzerland Schaftal

This is a great place for wild flowers in early July. The Northern part of the valley is very quiet and offers great views of the lakes underneath.

Wide angle or macro lens if you are into flower photography

You can reach this spot either from Engelberg (cable car to Trübsee, change for chair lift to Jochpass, then hike along the Northern part to Schaftal towards Chringel/Bonistock). Alternatively walk up from Melchsee-Frutt via Bonistock. From Jochpass via Bonistock to Melchsee-Frutt will take around 4 hours. You need proper hiking gear, food and drink and some experience, although the path is not very difficult. Between Chringen and Bonistock the path is sometimes exposed.
