Wildsee on around 2500m is one of the highlights of the 5-lake trail in the Pizol area. The glacier lake changes colour from a milky turquoise when the sun shines on it to a cobalt blue with a great mirror effect when it is in the shade. Simply amazing, especially at sunrise.

Travel Information

Parking at Wangs, several cable cars take you to Pizolhütte. From there it‘s just over an hour walk. The 4.5 hr 5-lake trail is very popular (for good reasons) and gets crowded. Avoid weekends! Obviously you should wear decent hiking gear.
