Switzerland Aletsch Glacier
The Aletsch Arena is an absolute gem for photographers and offer so many different view points and photography options along the hike. We did a small hike from Horli-Hitta that leads to the peak of what looks like a hill made out of rocks, it is easily detectible from the small hut and the Eggishorn station. From there, you can get stunning vantage points of the surrounding area. Disclaimer: The mountains in the background are stretched a little with Photoshop.
Photography Tips
Definitely bring your drone as only shooting with your camera includes some scrambling on the rocks and it takes time to change the position often. Make sure to have the light falling in from the side, ideally for sunrise.
Travel Information
The only way to catch sunrise or sunset is to take the last cable car up to Eggishorn and set up camp either in a tent or on next to the platform. Being very warm clothes as this place is at 3.000m and it gets freezing at night.
