Switzerland Grätlisee
Small lake on 2661m between Grimsel Pass and Rhone Glacier. When the conditions are right there is a perfect reflection of Galenstock and Furkahorn.
Photography Tips
Tripod, ND filters helpful depending on the time of day. The sun rises behind the mountain range in June/Juli. It sets behind you. The chances to have no wind are best in early morning or late evening.
Travel Information
You can only reach this lake with a 2 hour hike (500m climb) starting at Grimsel Pass. Follow „Nagelisgrätli“/„Rhonegletscher“.
Only go there with decent hiking gear and if you have some experience in the alps. There are no restaurants in the area. The path is decent but could be tricky when wet and in the dark. Check weather forecast thoroughly.
