Definitely a candidate for the bench with the best view in Switzerland. Along the hike from Gersau to Vitznau you pass a bench from where you see Nidwalden, Pilatus, Bürgenstock and anything along the lake down to Lucerne. Stunning!

Travel Information

Short hike (1.15h from Vitznau, steep or 1.45h from Gersau), public transport/parking in both - don‘t forget head torches if you stay for sunset as the path down to Vitznau is steep and mostly in the forest. Sturdy boots recommended, especially on Vitznau side. The bench is roughly 500m south of Wissifluh.
