Switzerland Lej da Vadret, Swiss Alps
The Lej da Vadret is a glacial lake with ever-changing colors due to the fact that is surrounded by several amazing glaciers. The sheer massive mountain range here is breathtaking.
Photography Tips
A ultra-wide angle lens is needed here. Place a person to get that adventure character in your photo and make sure to use the shore line of the lake as a leading line. Slightly underexpose during the day so that you don't loose the detail in the snow caps of the mountains.
Travel Information
Parking is down at the Silvaplana Surlej. Take the cable car up to the middle station of Murtel. Then, follow the hiking path until you get to the lake. This relatively easy hike (T2) takes you all the way to the Chamanna Coaz (hut). The accent is around 350m and takes you around 2-2,5h. In dependency of a loop, you can get many different ways back down to the valley.
