400 meters above town you find Zurich‘s very own „mountain“ Üetliberg. Weather permitting you can enjoy great panoramic views of the alps and over Zurich. The view platform next to restaurant Kulm is open to three sides. Sunrise and sunset (crowded) can be spectacular.

70-200mm works well, take a tripod if you stay for sunset

Travel Information

Trains from Zurich main station, 15 minutes walk to the top. Alternatively walk from town (starting at Triemli, 1h20m) or from anywhere along the Albis chain.
There are always a lot of people as the place is very easily accessible but the view is definitely worth it.
