A hidden gem near Alp Sellamatt. The small lake shows a perfect reflection of „Frümsel“, one of the 7 Churfirsten.

Nice at sunset when the sun shines on the mountain. Even better about an hour earlier when the trees are still lit up.

Park in Alt St. Johann and take the cable car to Alp Sellamatt. Then follow the „Sagenweg“ for about an hour. At the farm near the lake you have to turn off to the right and follow the alp road for around 100m. If you continue on the hiking path you may miss the lake as you can hardly see it from there. Best to use a map or gps, so you don‘t miss the turn off.
