The 5 lakes hiking trail is one of the many picturesque trails all over Switzerland. The views here are beyond words. Standing tall among other peaks is the Matterhorn, which is visible in different compositions all across the trail.

Just go with the flow here. The trail is free enough for you to setup your gear and take a shot. But keep in mind that a lot of people will be using this trail for hiking and mountain biking. Minimum gear - Maximum results.

Travel Information

Getting here by Gondola is your best bet. You can take a funicular from the Zermatt ground station to Sunnega and then catch a Gondola to Blauherd. From there, you can start following the trail signs for the hike.
