The floating market in Damnoen Saduak' is certainly one of the 'Thai-Photo-Icons'. Actually be prepared that it is VERY touristy. Never the less it is also still a nice photo opportunity to shoot the many vendors and foodstalls paddling with their boats through the canals.

Photography Tips

It can be a challenge to isolate single vendors / boats so I'd recommend to bring a telephoto lens. Even though I didn't do it myself I could imagine shooting a time lapse from one of the bridges over the canals could be interesting.

Travel Information

The Damnoen Saduak floating market is not very far from Bangkok, maybe a 1,5 hrs drive. But you should try to be there really (!) early as it gets very crowded the later you come.
