Thailand Erewan waterfalls
This photo was taken at the waterfalls in Erewan national park. This is the second of a series of seven cascades that can be visited. The first three are very easy to reach from the entrance but the further ones require more hiking. The water in the pools is a beautiful azure blue and the fish there are the type that nibble on your feet, so you can get a massage as you take your photos.
Photography Tips
A polarizer is good to really bring out the greens in the foliage and helps control the exposure of the falls. More importantly here it can reduce the reflection from the water surface to reveal the fish swimming beneath.
Overcast days are generally good for waterfall photography however it can be spectacular here on sunny days as it can really bring out the colour of the water.
It does get very busy with tourists here and it can be difficult to find a composition without someone in the way as a lot of people are bathing in the pools. If you have your own transport and can get here outside of busy times it would be better for photography.

It is very easy to get a public bus or minibus from Kanchanaburi here and it takes about an hour, however if you have your own transport it could be better as you can arrive outside busy times. Hiring motorbikes in Kanchanaburi could be a good option.
