Ksar Ommarsia is an ancient ksar located in the town of Medenine in southeastern Tunisia, along the main route to Libya. Medenine serves as the capital city of Medenine Governorate. Notably, Ksar Medenine gained recognition for its appearance in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. The site was featured twice in the film, first when Anakin Skywalker leads his friends through a sandstorm to his home, and later when Anakin rushes back to his mother just before leaving with Qui-Gon Jinn. Ksar Medenine is one of three ksars in the Tataouine region that collectively depict the Slave Quarters Row on the fictional planet Tatooine.

Usually fans of Star Wars might say, that you'll find the spot in Ksar Medenine, but this isn't true, as the exact spot is in Ksar Ommarsia.
You might won't recognize it, but when standing in front of the wall of houses, keep your view right. That is it.

Bring a wide angle lense and come early in the morning. It doesn't take long and the sun covers a lot of this area and the shadows are getting to harsh.
