Turkey (Türkiye) Hagia Sophir
Hagia Sophir was built in the mid 6th C and for 1000years was the largest structure of its type in the world. It is an architectural icon whose basic design was used in most of the grand mosques from the 15C onwards. This is an awe inspiring structure created at a time when only masonary principles of the arch where available. World Heritage Listed. Simply Breath Taking !! An absolute must for any visit to Istanbul!
Photography Tips
Shooting inside the Hagia is tricky. No tripods are allowed. Most times its very busy. And the light can change dramatically from dawn to dusk. Use a wide angle fast lens such as 14mm f2.8. Try to setup up lines of symmetry to avoid excessive perspective distortion. Plan of visiting at least twice early morning and again dust to get a couple of shots you are satisfied with.
