Uganda Inside the gorge

The Kyambura Gorge in QE National Park is a great place for Chimp trekking

It’s not easy to shoot inside the deep forest. The contrast is high and the light situation is changing quickly as the chimps move. Expose for the highlights.
Walking can be quiet tough, as you have to follow the family through the jungle.
I used a 150-600 lens to get portrait shots of the chimpanzees. Time to change lenses might be limited, so carry as little equipment as possible.

It’s in a national park. Everything needs to be organized in advance. It’s a once in a lifetime experience to get that close to our closest relatives.
