Ukraine Brown Bear Rehabilitation Center

On the territory of Synevir National Park there is a rehabilitation center for brown bears that have been treated awfully by people. For example, one of the bears was used as a bait for hunting dogs. Another one was put on a hot stove so he could learn to dance and perform in a circus. Following rehab's website there are more than 30 bears living in the center.

Now the bears can live peacefully on a 12 hectares of forest. Of course, there are a lot of visitors but I think the bears have choice not to be viewed by tourists. I saw five bears in close proximity to the fence and four or five in quarantine cages. So other animals were wandering elsewhere. Also following information you can find on the boards there are bunch of specialists who take care of the bears (veterinarians and therapists).
