United Arab Emirates Al Jaili Fort Al Ain

This fort in Al Ain, UAE looks like straight out of an Arabian fairytale and hosts some interesting architecture.

Quite a lot to name here. Firstly, the sky in this shot is edited. As the fort is in the city, you usually will not see the stars as clearly here as in this image. I wanted to enhance a mystical mood with a woman with a lantern in front of the gates. We actually shot this in blue hour before you could see the harsh lights they are putting on the fort later on.

To get a slightly elevated stand point, I stood on a pillar next to the street and held my camera as high as possible.

Al Jahili fort is one of the major attractions in the desert town of Al Ain and easy to reach by Uber or with a tour.
